Our graduate certificate program is composed of five courses that allow students to explore pharmacology from both a clinical and research perspective. In addition to Fundamentals of Medical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, graduate students can choose four of the following 2-credit electives:
- Medical Pharmacology and Therapeutics I: The Nervous System
- Medical Pharmacology and Therapeutics II: Cardiovascular, Renal and Respiratory Systems
- Medical Pharmacology and Therapeutics III: Endocrine, Musculoskeletal, GI and Integumentary Systems
- Medical Pharmacology and Therapeutics IV: Cancer, Antimicrobial and Antiparasitic Agents
- Pharmacology of Cannabis, Tobacco and Vaping
Enroll in our program to start earning your graduate certificate, or enroll as a non-degree seeking student so you can take your time and consider the academic path that’s right for you. Either way, you’ll be a part of a prestigious online program offered through UF’s College of Medicine.

Non-Degree Seeking Student Information
If you’re not sure you’re ready to pursue a graduate certificate, that’s okay! We have a spot for you, too. Prospective students have the opportunity to enroll in graduate courses as a non-degree seeking student.
As a non-degree seeking student, you’ll be able to choose from the same courses as our graduate students and pay the same competitive tuition costs. You’ll also be able to strengthen your skills in a specialized topic while easing into the online learning experience. This option offers the chance to work toward your certification without having to commit to a graduate program.
You can take up to 3 credit hours as a non-degree seeking student. If you decide to continue your education and pursue the graduate certificate, you’ll be able to transfer up to 3 credits toward that credential, so long as you are admitted and earn a grade of “B” or higher.
